Veronica J. Zaczyk, 94, of Newton Falls, Ohio, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the Niles Way Senior Living.
She was born the youngest daughter of John and Bertha Kristofic Bytner on January 31, 1930 in Creekside, Pennsylvania. Veronica was a 1947 graduate of Indiana High School.
On June 18, 1955 in Ernest, Pennsylvania, she married George A. Zaczyk and had a daughter and a son. She was a homemaker and faithful parishioner of St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Veronica enjoyed crocheting, gardening, polka dancing and going on RV trips with her daughter and son-in-law. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.
Cherished memories will be carried on by her daughter, Barbara (Jesse) Matheson of Cortland and her son, George (Donna) Zaczyk of Ravenna; her brothers, Anthony Bytner and Henry Bytner, both of Ravenna; her grandchildren, Danusha (Colin) Webb of Kailua, Hawaii, Samantha (Joe) Bates with Ben and baby #2 of Macedonia, Nicholas (Brandi) Zaczyk with Caleb and Riley of Diamond, Veronica (Joe) Dejacimo with Gabriella, Julianna, Dominic and baby #4 of Ravenna, Samantha (Brian) Kropp with Bryce and Jordan of Newton Falls.
Preceding her in death were her husband of sixty-one years, George; her brothers, Joe, Mike, John, Frank, and Steve; and her sisters, Mary Rhea, Julia Learn and Stella Fairman.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls, Ohio.
Visitation will also be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. at St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Newton Falls, Ohio where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Merzweiler as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
