Timothy Hendershot

On Friday, October 15, 2021, Timothy Hendershot, 68, of Diamond, Ohio, went to meet the Lord.  Tim was born on May 11,1953, the son of John and Iris Hendershot in Medina, Ohio.

Timothy was an active member of the Wayland Community Church and was married to his wife, Kathy, at this church in 2005.

Tim worked many years as a maintenance technician, retiring from Swagelok in 2019.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  Tim was always willing to lend a helping hand.  He was known for his sense of humor and his ability to put a smile on your face.  He enjoyed giving people silly nicknames and teasing the kids and could not resist talking like Donald Duck to small children.  Tim loved his muscle cars and would spend his spare time working on his cars and attending car shows.  He also enjoyed 4-wheeling, fishing, riding bicycles and repairing bicycles.

Tim is survived by his wife, Kathy Hendershot; his four brothers, Dozier, John, Kevin and Scott Hendershot and his four sisters, Robin Long, Diane Rink, Ruth and April Hendershot.  He is also survived by his three children, Chad Hendershot, Jenna Joyce and Katie Hendershot; his three step-children, Jessie, William and Patricia Burkey, his thirteen grandchildren , Collin, Jillian and Makenzie Hendershot, Maya Joyce, Colton Dewitt, Jayden, Ariana and Aubree Tyo, Lauren, Harleigh, Addalyn, Willow and Julia Burkey; plus many nieces and nephews.

Timothy was preceded in death by his parents, John and Iris Hendershot, his three brothers, Curtis, Leslie and baby Hendershot; as well as his son, Christopher Hendershot.

The family will hold a celebration of life in the spring.
