Stewart “Stew” L. Bryant, 83, of Newton Falls, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at St. Joseph Health Care. He was born on December 3, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Melvin and Edna (Gillespie) Bryant.
Stew was a 1957 graduate of Newton Falls High School.
He served our country in the US Army. Stew was honorably discharged on March 31, 1964.
He was united in marriage with Mary Louise Farkas on June 15, 1964 in Warren, Ohio.
Stew was a self-employed barber for more than 41 years.
He was a life member of AMVETS Post 112 and Army Navy Post 271.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, dancing, and bowling. Stew belonged to various Bowling and Dart Leagues.
Cherished memories of Stew will be carried on by his son Daniel (Dreea) Bryant of Newton Falls, daughter Sarah Ours of Warren, sister Gloria Bryant of Lake Milton, and three granddaughters Sidney, Isabella, and Danica.
Preceding Stew in death were his wife Mary on January 31, 1995, brothers Thomas and Mike Bryant, sisters Dolores Carver and Linda Ferrance.
Private family calling hours and services were held. Stew was laid to rest next to Mary at Hawley Cemetery.
