Ronald Joseph Dillon Obituary
Ronald Joseph Dillon, age 73, born on November 2, 1948, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022, peacefully with his family by his side. Ron was given just two weeks in January, fought a long hard battle to make it 10 months, he fought until the end, but his body was tired.
Ron married Gail Seiple on May 8, 1971. Together, they had four wonderful children and six beautiful grandchildren who were the light of his life. He loved to cheer them on at their sports events, especially baseball and softball. If you ever met Ron, you were considered a friend.
Ron began his career at a young age stacking pins at the bowling alley and delivering newspapers all while going to school. He then went on to work over sixty years doing anything and everything. His passion was electrical work and anyone who needed electrical work done knew who to call. Even up until he got sick, Ron still was doing maintenance electrical work for companies. He was one of the strongest, bravest men you ever knew.
Ron loved his grandchildren with all his heart. He never missed a game or event if he could help it. He loved to share his love of the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns with his family. He loved to read and would read anything he could get his hands on. He loved to shoot pool and it was amazing to see the logic he used to sink the balls.
Ron leaves his wife, Gail Dillon; his son, Ronald (Lindsay Calland) Dillon; his daughters, Yvonne Dillon, Theresa (Jason) Nicholas, and Kristina (Nate) Svette; his grandchildren, JJ (Bri Pesa) Nicholas, Jalynn Nicholas, Ronnie Dillon, Natalee Albert, Haley Albert, and Dylan Davis all of Newton Falls; his brothers, Robert (Kathy) Dillon, Frank (Diane) Dillon, and James Dillon all of Newton Falls; his sisters, Doris Hays and Esther (George) Davis of Lordstown, Maryann Bigler of Austintown, Nancy Broughman of Newton Falls and Cecilia (Ted) Button of Bloomfield. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including niece, Ashley and her partner Kale, who he loved to shoot pool with and were a big help through the last few months.
Preceding Ron in death were his parents, Robert and Esther Dillon; his brother, Daniel Dillon; his niece, Deanna Hays; his brothers-in-law, Frank Broughman, Kenneth Bigler, and Jay Hays; his sister-in-law, Diane Dillon; his mother-in-law, Shirley Seiple and his grandmother-in-law, Frances Young.
