Robert “Bobby” McGeehen, 76, of Newton Falls, Ohio passed away on August 4, 2024 after fighting a tough battle with cancer.
He was born on June 30, 1948 in Ravenna, Ohio, the son of Harold McGeehen and Olwen Jones McGeehen.
Bobby attended Newton Falls High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1965 and was honorably discharged in 1971.
He enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles, watching the Cleveland Indians, the Browns, and The Ohio State University.
He was an active member of the VFW, Amvets, and the American Legion.
Preceding Bobby were his parents; his son, Robert McGeehan Jr.; his sister, Ramona Patrick; and his brother-in-law, Ed Prusky.
Cherished memories of Bobby will be carried on by his brother, Raymond McGeehen (Beverly); his sister, Doris Prusky; his daughter, Renee McGeehen; his granddaughter, Taylor McGeehen, his loving partner, Donna Shafer; his loyal companion, “Duke”; and his many nieces and nephews.
Upon Bobby’s wishes, he was cremated and private services were held.
Military Honors were provided by the United States Navy and the Newton Falls Honor Guard at Hawley Cemetery.
