Robert Dale Hurley, known affectionately to his friends and family as Dale, passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2024. Born on June 21, 1968, in Warren, Ohio, to proud parents Paulette and Raymond Hurley, Dale's vibrant spirit and generous heart brought joy to all who knew him. He departed this world in Canton, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and creativity. 

Dale was a cherished member of a close-knit family. He is survived by his devoted mother and father, Paulette and Raymond Hurley, his loving sisters, Sharlene (Donald) Kenney, Audrey Hurley (Jeannine Lewis), and Jackie (Joseph) Crouser; his adored children, Ashley, Candace (Jimmie Campbell), Shyanna (Nathan) Johnson, and Keith Allen. His life was further enriched by his four grandchildren, Xavier Robert Hurley, Drake Crouser, Lillyan Little, and Avrianna Louise Lowery, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. Dale's love story continued with his partner, Lisa Hurley, who stood by him with unwavering love and support. 

He was preceded in death by his doting grandmother, Marylon Kershner; and his first wife, Kimberly Hurley, both of whom he missed dearly. 

Dale's formative years were spent in the halls of South East High School, from which he graduated in 1986. He went on to build a career as a skilled welder at East Manufacture, where he was not only known for his craftsmanship, but also for his camaraderie and jovial nature. His interests were as diverse as his talents. Dale was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and camp, often sharing these passions with his children and friends. He found solace under the hood of a car, working alongside his father, with whom he shared a special bond. The roar of a motorcycle engine was music to his ears, and he found freedom on the open road. Dale's artistic soul shone through in his drawings and handmade jewelry, each piece a testament to his creative spirit. 

Above all, Dale treasured the moments spent with his grandchildren and children. Whether he was teaching them how to cast a line or telling a well-timed joke, he was a constant source of love and entertainment. His sense of humor was infectious, and his ability to find the fun in any situation made every gathering memorable. Those who knew Dale would describe him as loving, funny, and creative. He had a knack for brightening the darkest days with his quick wit and warm smile. His creativity knew no bounds, and he often expressed his love for those around him through his art and handcrafted gifts. As the poet Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Dale made everyone feel loved, and that feeling will linger in the hearts of his family and friends forever. Dale's life was one of joy, love, and laughter. He was a beacon of light to his family, a loyal friend, a doting grandfather, and a father beyond compare. 

As we bid farewell to Robert Dale Hurley, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the art he created, and the love he gave so freely. Dale's departure from this world was too soon, but the mark he left on it is indelible.
