Robert L. Gensler, Jr., 57, of Newton Falls, Ohio passed away suddenly following a cardiac condition on Friday, October 22, 2021 at his home. Robert was born on February 14, 1964 in Warren, Ohio, the son of Robert L. Gensler and Cecelia Irene Johnston Gensler. He was a lifetime resident of Newton Falls.
He began working at the age of twelve delivering the Tribune Chronicle, continuing for six years. Robert had also worked for Burger Chef and at the Convenient Store for Kenny Ferrance.
Graduating with the Newton Falls class of 1982, he continued his education at Youngstown State University. He would transfer to Kent State University, obtaining a degree in finance.
Robert found employment at Chicago Title in Trumbull County while continuing his education at the Cleveland – Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University. He obtained his Doctorate of Law Degree from the university.
He worked with the firm of Turner, May and Shepherd in downtown Warren. Robert was also involved with the Newton Falls Commerce Association.
Cherished memories of Robert will be carried on by his mother, Cecelia Irene Johnston Gensler; his sister, Deborah Ann (Alan) Baryak of Fair Oaks, California; his nephew, Aaron Alan Baryak of Placerville, California and his niece, Laura Irene Baryak of Citrus Heights, California.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Gensler, Sr.
In lieu of flowers, the family request material tributes may be made in Robert’s name to the Newton Township Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 233, Newton Falls, Ohio 44444. Robert was an active member and recently elected president of the association.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls, Ohio. A service will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Borowski Memorial Home with Rev. David Merzweiler officiating. The family request that those who are attending the visitation or service to adhere to guidelines for social distancing and wearing masks.
Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Paris Township.
