Robert Coy Obituary

Robert T. Coy, 67, of Lordstown, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2020 at his residence. He was born the son of Robert and Violet May Chapman Coy in Ravenna on July 28, 1953.

Robert was a 1972 graduate of Southeast High School.

Prior to retiring he worked as a welder fabricator for various companies.

He attended the House of Praise.

Robert’s hobbies were refinishing antiques, fishing, cooking on the grill and gardening. He was a handyman who could fix anything.

Cherished memories of Robert will be carried on by his father Robert of Alliance, mother Violet of Kent, son Cristopher Coy of Atwater, daughter Rachael Coy of Lordstown, brothers Daniel Coy of Florida, Scott Coy of Rootstown, Bob Coy of Rootstown, Steve Coy of Atlanta, GA, and Jed Smith of Kent, sisters Patricia of Alliance, Lynn of Atwater, and Ginny Reis of Akron, and grandson Jaycob Quay who was born on Robert’s birthday.

Preceding Robert in death were his sisters Darlene McNeil, Charlotte Palmer, and Sharon Triplett, brother Richard Coy, and granddaughter Madeline Coy.

Burial will be at Edinburg Cemetery at a later date.
