Rita Kathryn Cottrell, 60, of Garrettsville Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Doyle Dean Cottrel (Dorothy) and Eleanor Maxine Cottrell.

Rita was a devoted wife, loving mother and dedicated her life to creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. She had a passion for cooking and those family dinners will be missed by all who had the pleasure of enjoying them. She was the heart and soul of our family and she will be profoundly missed by all who loved her.

Rita is survived by her loving husband John G. Kazlma; her daughter, Heidi R. Cottrell (Danny); and her cherished grandson, Landon C. Emerine. She is also survived by her step-daughter, Heather Kazlman; her sister, Teresa Rutherford; and her brother, Timothy Warrick (Sylvia).

Rita was preceded in death by her brother, Keith Warrick.

A Celebration of Rita’s life will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at the Windham Community Center located at 9647 East Center Street, Windham, Ohio 44288.
