We are sad to announce the passing of Richard F. Martin of Newton Falls, Ohio. He died unexpectedly at the age of 64 on October 17, 2022.

Rick married the love of his life, Karen, on January 24, 1987, who he met at the Newton Falls Laundromat on S. Canal in Newton Falls, Ohio. They eventually bought the laundromat and together ran it for twenty-five years. They were united in marriage for 35 years.

He enjoyed most weekends at his camp in Pennsylvania riding four-wheelers, his side by side and watching the creek. Rick was a jack of all trades but master of none. He could fix anything, in which we called it "Martinizing" something. He loved making people laugh and would always have something goofy to add, even in times of sadness. Rick had a great love of grunge music and anything the general population had never heard of. Rick loved his family and his dogs. He will be missed by everyone.

Rick is survived by his wife, Karen; his brothers, Thomas (Annette), William, and David; and his sister; Mary. Also included are his nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. His children include Rebecca, Maria (Dustin), Amy, and John III. His grandchildren are Victoria, Courtney, Chandler, Jolynn, John IV, Dustin and Aubry, and a great grandchild, Jude.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls, Ohio.
