Richard Jones Obituary

Richard L. Jones, 78, of Windham, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland.  He was born the son of William and Grace (Gilbert) Jones on March 2, 1941, in Ravenna.

He was a 1959 graduate of Windham High School.  He then proudly served our country in the US Navy.

Richard was united in marriage to Jeanne Fincham on October 14, 1977 in Braceville.

Richard was a member of the First Assembly Pentecost Church.

He was employed by General Electric Lamp Plant.

In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling.

Cherished memories of Richard will be carried on by his wife Jeanne Jones of Windham, daughters Tonya Kyser of Streetsboro and Michelle Jones of Southington, step daughter Christine Stier of Freedom, step sons Samuel (Jamie) Lambert of Charlotte NC, Daniel (Mary) Lambert of Newton Falls, and Phillip and Mark (Rochelle) Lambert, both of Braceville, brother James (Theresa) Jones of Grovetown, GA, sisters Carol (Wade) Hartman of Windham, Ginger (Kraig) Kutschbach of Findley, and Judy Raber of Newton Falls, 22 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Richard in death were his parents, and sister Debbie McCollam,

Family and friends may call at the First Assembly Pentecost Church on Monday, February 24 from 10:30 – noon.  Services will follow the calling hours with Pastor William McCartney officiating. 

Burial with Military Honors will be at the Windham Township Cemetery.
