With sadness that we announce the passing of Ray “Tom” Shaulis who passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026 at the age of 93 in Newton Falls, Ohio. Born and raised in Newton Falls, he was the son of William and Florence Shaulis.

Tom was a 1951 graduate of Newton Falls High School. Serving his country honorably, Tom was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 236 in Newton Falls, Ohio.

Tom had been employed by Thomas Steel as a pipe fitter.

He was dedicated to his family.  Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid Guardians and Browns fan.

Tom is survived by his daughters, Debbie Shaulis, Doreen (Rob) Lutz and Diette (Jim) Cariglio; his sister-in-law, Charlotte Shaulis; his grandchildren, Derek Lutz, Robi (Kevin) Brown, Jessi (Rick) Pigg, Jenna (Dexter) Doris, and Amber Howard; and numerous great grandkids who he absolutely adored! Also surviving are his nieces and nephews.

Special thanks are extended to Elayne and Amy for all their love and support.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Shaulis; his son, Doug Shaulis; his sister, LaVerne Harvey; and his brother, Bob Shaulis.

Per his wishes, there will be no services held.

A private interment will be held in the Lutheran Cemetery in Newton Township, Ohio.
