Phillip G. Simons

Phillip G. Simons, 60, of Newton Falls, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 with his family by his side.  He was born on December 23, 1958 in Barberton, the son of Paul and Sally (Sisson) Simons.

On July 12, 1997 in Newton Falls Phil was united in marriage to Christine Frey. 

He was a union carpenter for over 30 years.

In his spare time he enjoyed wood working, camping, and riding 4 wheelers.  But, above all else he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Cherished memories of Phil will be carried on by wife Chrissy, sons William (Renee) Frey of Crestview, FL, Robert (Megan) Simons of Edinburg, PA, sisters Pam (Bill) Malolepsi of Lake Milton, Paula (Dave) Carroll of Garrettsville, Denise (Tom) Frey, Charlotte Simons both of Newton Falls, grandchildren Lillian, Dylan, Conner, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Phil in death were his parents, brothers Don and Paul. 

Family and friends may call on Saturday, February 16, from 11 AM – 1 PM at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home.  And a celebration of Phil’s life will continue at AMVETS Post 112 of Newton Falls from 2 – 5 PM.
