Norman "Bo" Gearheart Obituary
Norman “Bo” Gearheart, known affectionately as Bo to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, in Chardon, Ohio, at the age of 83. Born on August 12, 1942, in Lawton, Kentucky, Bo's life was a testament to the values of hard work, devotion to family, and a passion for the simple pleasures in life.
Bo's early years in Kentucky laid a strong foundation for the man he would become. His work ethic was evident through his long and dedicated career at Brainard Strapping, where he was not only a valued employee but also an active participant in the company's community and social activities. His commitment to his work was paralleled only by his commitment to his faith, as he lived a life of Christian principles, always putting others before himself.
His love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. Bo's beloved wife, Judith Gearheart, was his partner in every sense, sharing in the joys and challenges of life. Together, they raised a family that included their son, Brian (Michelle) Gearheart, and their late daughter, Cindy McVicker. Bo was a cherished grandfather to Timothy (Samantha), Tyler (Erica), and Hunter (Klarissa) McVicker, as well as to Brady, Gavin, and Nathan Gearheart. He took great joy in his role as a great-grandfather to Kyra, Braelynn, and Aubrey McVicker.
Bo's interests were as genuine as his smile. He was an avid bowler, a sport that brought him many joyful moments and lasting friendships. His love for hunting was not just a hobby but a way to connect with nature and the quiet beauty of the outdoors. A skilled woodworker, Bo created beautiful pieces that served as a testament to his patience and attention to detail.
Bo's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the countless memories shared with those who knew him. His guidance and wisdom will be profoundly missed, but the impact he made on his family and community will continue to be felt for generations.
As we bid farewell to Bo, we celebrate a life well lived, a journey marked by faith, family, and friendship. We take solace in knowing that his was a life that truly made a difference, leaving us with cherished memories and a blueprint for a life well-lived. Bo Gearheart's story is one of a journey completed with grace, and he will be lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
