Melinda A. (Wood) Heltzel

Melinda A. Heltzel, 61, of Newton Falls, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital.  She was born on June 17, 1960 in Spangler, PA, the daughter of Fred and Delores (Mothersbaugh) Wood.

She graduated from Northern Cambria High School in 1979. 

Melinda owned the Stitches R Us business.

On August 20, 2005 in Newton Falls she was united in marriage with Bill Heltzel.

In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and gardening.

Cherished memories of Melinda will be carried on by her husband Bill, son Jason (Jennifer) Russell of Erie, PA, daughter Tracie (Duane) Corll of Youngstown, OH, brothers Fred (Diane) Wood of St. Benedict, PA, Dave Wood, Northern Cambria, PA, Joseph (Dee Dee) Wood of PA, Christopher (Susan) Wood of Northern Cambria, PA, sisters Tammy (Ernie) Westover of Alverda, PA, Sandy Wood of Newton Falls, OH, Marie (Terry) Fletcher of Nanty-Glo, PA, grandchildren Nathan, Noah, and Emma.

Preceding Melinda in death were her parents.

A family celebration of life will be held for Melinda Heltzel on January 8, 2021 at the Highway Tabernacle on 3000 South Raccoon Road in Austintown, Ohio 44515 which will be in the smaller building that is not connected to the church.  Please feel free to come and go between the hours of 1 – 3 PM.  Come and sit with us to share some memories while having a meal and a cup of coffee, just like you would any time you have visited Melinda.
