Mary Anne Haser, 87, of Diamond, Ohio, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022 at McCrea Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was born on May 18, 1935 in Bay Minette, AL, the daughter John and Thelma (Corley) Szilagyi.
She was a graduate of Cleveland East High School.
Mary Anne was united in marriage on November 22, 1969 to Jacob Haser.
Mary Anne was a homemaker that enjoyed caring for her large family and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved traveling and planning new adventures.
She was a member of the Ravenna Assembly of God and Riverwood Chapel. She participated in the Women’s Group and Prayer Chain at the church.
She volunteered to deliver Meals on Wheels and traveled with the Red Cross for 12 national disasters.
Cherished memories of Mary Anne will be carried on by her husband Jacob, sons Bill (Valerie) Howe of Chelmsford, MA; Ed Howe of Euclid, OH and James (Diane) Howe of Streetsboro, OH; daughters Diana (Frank) Smrdel of Peninsula, OH; Thelma (David) Lucas of Diamond, OH; brother John (Jeanette) Dean of Euclid, OH; sisters Corley Owen of Garrettsville, OH; Diana Dean of San Diego, CA; Carole Thompson of Shaker Heights, OH; 16 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
Preceding Mary Anne in death were her daughter Naomi Haser, sisters Connie Daugherty, Harriet Kuhn, Barbara Stephens and numerous family members.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, August 18 from 9 – 11 AM at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls where services will be at 11 AM. She will be laid to rest at Palmyra West Cemetery.
