Lyle M. Brainard Obituary
Lyle Matthew Brainard, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024, at the age of 70, after a very long and courageous battle with multiple illnesses and debilitating ailments.
Born in Warren, Ohio, on December 8, 1954, Lyle was a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated from Warren G. Harding High School and retired after a 46-year career as a Crane Operator at ClarkDietrich.
Lyle was an avid sports fan, cheering on his beloved Michigan Wolverines and Cleveland Browns. He also had a deep love for the Christmas season, delighting in the festive cheer, twinkling lights, and the pure joy of giving gifts to loved ones. He instilled this love of the season in his daughter, Rachel. In his leisure time, Lyle enjoyed the thrill of gambling at the local Hollywood Casino, the excitement of traveling to Las Vegas, and most importantly, spending quality time with his family.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, Helen M. Brainard (McVicker) and Robert E. Brainard Sr.; and his siblings, James Brainard and Vicki Koncsol.
He is survived by his cherished daughter, Rachel L. Brainard of Newton Falls; and his loving brother and best friend, Robert E. Brainard Jr. of Liberty. He also leaves behind his dear nieces, Lisa Airwyke and Shalee Carney; along with several other nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and his remains will be laid to rest at the Lordstown Cemetery this coming spring.
While Lyle may be gone, his heroic fight and selfless soul will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
