Lorraine R. (Zivic) Banyas

Lorraine R. Banyas, 78, of Warren, formerly Newton Falls, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021 at her residence.  She was born in Homestead, PA on October 13, 1942, the daughter of Thomas and Nora (Guest) Zivic.

She was united in marriage with Thomas Banyas, Sr on January 13, 1962.

Lorraine was a member of the Believer’s Christian Church.

She was an artist, wrote poetry, gardened, and enjoyed her grandchildren above all else. 

Cherished memories of Lorraine will be carried on by sons Thomas (Vicki) Banyas of Newton Falls, and Joseph Banyas of Youngstown, daughter Amy (Donald) Connelly of Warren, brothers Bruce (Colleen) Zivic of Munhall, PA and Thomas Zivic, Jr., sister Bonnie Wieland of Pittsburgh, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Preceding Lorraine in death were her parents, and husband, who passed away January 7, 2013.

Family and friends may call on Saturday, September 4, from 11 AM – 1 PM at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home where services will be held at 1 PM.
