Leelia (Neil) Rowland

Leelia Rowland, 75, of Southington, Ohio passed on Thursday, July 28, 2022 in Mercy Health St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio.  She was born on December 10, 1946 in Antioch, California, the daughter of William and Onita Boyd Neil. 

Leelia graduated from Chalker High School in 1966.  She attended Southington Methodist Church.

She had been employed by Geauga Carsile Industries for forty years.

Among her pastimes were shopping, feeding birds, going to casinos and traveling to Florida.  Leelia would be happy to take in stray cats to give them good homes.

Leelia will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ron E. Rowland, whom she married on September 2, 1988; her daughters, Victoria (Michael) Parrish of Southington, Ohio and Heather (Jamie) Sweitzer of Randolph, Ohio; her grandchildren, Joel Sweitzer and Justine Sweitzer; her siblings, Mary Campanella of Southington, Ohio, Nancy (Larry) Rasey of Champion, Ohio and George Neil of Austintown, Ohio.  She was loved by many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Leelia in death were her father, William Neil; her mother, Onita Neil and her brother, Robert Neil.

Donations may be made in memory of Leelia to the Southington Fire Department.

A private service will be held.
