Kathryn I. Barnhart Obituary
Kathryn I. Barnhart, formerly of Buckhannon and longtime resident of Newton Falls, passed away peacefully at home on May 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Kathryn was born on May 28, 1938, in Buckhannon, West Virginia, before later moving to Newton Falls, where she built a life centered around family, friendship, and community. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured every moment spent with those she loved.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Barnhart; her two sons, Rodney Barnhart and Steve Barnhart; her granddaughters, Jackie (Dylan) and Adrrianne (Nick); and 13 cherished great-grandchildren.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; her four brothers; her grandson, Steve Barnhart Jr.; and her dear lifelong friend, Dottie (Dorothy), whose friendship meant so much to her throughout the years.
Kathryn enjoyed spending time with her family and her best friend, Marsha. She loved bowling and spent many happy years with her bowling team, creating memories and friendships that lasted a lifetime. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing she is immediately reunited with their Savior and faithful loved ones in Heaven due to her faith in Protestant faith. She will be remembered for her warmth, laughter, and the joy she brought to those around her.
No services will be held.
