Joseph Salcone, 86, was called home on June 13, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of his son. He was born August 19, 1937 in Warren Ohio, the son of James and Madeline Clementi Salcone. He was one of three children.

He had been employed by WCI for 42 years.

He was a United States Army veteran and played the saxophone for the Army band.

Joe also was the sax player in a polka band called The Ray Olszewski band.

Joe absolutely loved being in a boat on the water trying to find the best fishing spot. He also enjoyed watching his Cleveland teams whether they were doing good or bad. But most of all his love was camping at Wildwood Acres where he loved seeing all of his friends and taking strolls around the campground seeing who was cooking what and what time is dinner.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Salcone of Leavittsburg and daughter, Andrea (Todd) Parker also of Leavittsburg; and his grandsons, Nicholas and Michael Salcone.

In addition to his parents and his sisters, Mary and Buena, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Shirley Cuttings Salcone.

He leaves so many memories to so many people and always made friends to strangers.

Family and friends may visit from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Borowski Memorial Home, 30 Ridge Road, Newton Falls, Ohio 44444, where a service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Merzweiler officiating.

Military honors will be accorded Joseph by the Newton Falls Veterans Honor Guard with interment to follow at All Souls Cemetery.

At the conclusion of services everyone is invited to attend followship with the family at Sunrise Inn of Warren, 510 East Market Street, Warren, Ohio 44481.
