Joseph Perkovich, 95, of Newton Falls, OH passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022, with his family by his side under the comforting care at Hospice House. He was born March 9, 1926 in Newton Falls, the son of Louis and Mary (Shokac) Perkovich.
He was a 1944 graduate of Newton Falls High School and attended many of the school reunions.
On April 10, 1947 in Windham, OH, Joe was united in marriage with the late Beulah Smith.
He was employed as an electrician at Rockwell, retiring after 29 years in 1976
In his spare time he enjoyed Buckeye sports, going to casinos, and watching westerns.
Cherished memories of Joe will be carried on by his son Larry (Denise) Perkovich of Newton Falls, his daughter Linda (John) Van Stone of Kentucky, Lois (Ross) McHenry of Lakeside, KY, brother Rudy Perkovich of Warren, OH, sister Janet (Richard) Wileman of TX, grandchildren Victoria Coats, Andrea Perkovich, Joseph Perkovich, Phillip McHenry, Leigh Ann Smith, and Eric McHenry and great grandchildren Austin Coats, Waylon Coats, Hudson Gurmin, Khloe Perkovich, Samantha Perkovich, Olivia Smith, Gavin Smith, Claire McHenry and Rose McHenry.
Preceding Joe in death were his siblings John, Tom, Louis, Kathryn, Margaret, and Anne.
Friends and family may call on Saturday, February 5, from noon to 1 PM at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls where services will be held at 1 PM.
Interment will take place at the Newton Township Cemetery.
