John Bruce Albright passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, at Hospice of the Valley Hospice House surrounded by his family.  He was born on May 17, 1935, in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania, the son of Sarah Albright.  John was a long-time resident of Lake Milton, Ohio.

Some of the things John enjoyed in his younger days were fishing, woodworking, and listening to his country music record collection.  He also served in the National Guard during the Korean War but was never deployed. In his later years, he found companionship with his beloved cat Whitey.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Marylou Albright, who passed away October 3, 2017.  At the time of her death, they had been married for 62 years.

John leaves behind four children, Joanne (Matt) Welch of Moon Township, Pennsylvania, David Albright of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, Linda Hassler (Frank) of Austintown, Ohio, and John G. Albright of Columbiana, Ohio; four grandchildren, Matthew III (Jade) Welch of Oakdale, Pennsylvania, Alix (TJ) Welch of Tampa, Florida, Seth and Sophia Albright of Ambridge, Pennsylvania. John is also survived by two sisters, Toni (Chuck) Fitch of Hobe Sound, Florida, and Patty Purcell of West Palm Beach, Florida.

The family would like to thank Frank Whitehouse for his dedicated help with transportation and morale support as well as John’s long-time neighbors, Joe and Rhenea Shablesky for their help and friendship through the years.
