Jesse Scott Grunder

Jesse “Scott” Grunder, 84, of Newton Falls, passed on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at his residence with his family by his side.  Scott was born on November 16, 1936 in Moultrie, Ohio, the son of the late Carl and Zola (Johnson) Grunder.

Scott was a 1956 graduate of Newton Falls High School.

He retired in 2000 from General Motors after 34 years. He went on to work at Carter Lumber where he permanently retired in 2005.

Scott was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagles Lodge as well as the Newton Falls Kiwanis and VFW. 

In his spare time Scott enjoyed boating, hunting, walking, golfing, swimming, taking drives and riding his motorcycle.

Cherished memories of Scott will be carried on by his sons Randy Grunder of Newton Falls and Brian Grunder of Southington, daughters Karlene (Chuck) Lane, and Michelle (John) Harvey, both of Newton Falls, thirteen grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchildren.

Preceding Scott in death were his son Jody who passed away on October 18, 2020, brother Robert Grunder, sisters Louise Bowman, Charlotte Betz, and Betti Daily.

Private family services will be held at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls.
