Jennings W. Flint, 89, of Newton Falls passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Community Skilled Nursing Centre. He was born December 25, 1930 in Russelville, WV, the son of Warnie and Eva Hinkle Flint.
Jennings was a Veteran of the US Army serving in Korea where he received a Korean Service Metal with four Bronze Service Stars, and an Occupation Metal (Japan).
On April 19, 1952 Jennings and Betty Hughes were united in marriage.
Jennings was a member of the Newton Falls First Baptist Church.
He was employed by and retired from Copperweld as a mill operator.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, going to yard sales, fixing lawn mowers and doing general repairs.
Cherished memories will be carried on by his daughter Donna (Ron) Abbuhl of Diamond, brother David Flint of Newton Falls, grandchildren Michelle (Pete) Gallagher of Hartville, and Robert (Katherine) Abbuhl of Deerfield, and great grandchildren Aiden, Jessica, Evann, and Thomas.
Preceding Jennings in death were his wife Betty who passed away January 15, 2015, son Gary Flint, brother Orval Flint, and sister Ila Hughes.
A private family service will be held at a later date with Military Honors at Newton Township Cemetery.
