James J. Wolfe, 76, passed away following a brief illness on Monday, March 15, 2021 at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.
Jim was born July 9, 1944 in Warren, to Francis and Emma Wolfe. He was a 1962 graduate of Windham High School and attended Kent State University. After being drafted into the Army, Jim was stationed at Camp Zama, Japan where he met and married his wife, Suzue.
Upon returning from Japan, Jim worked at the former Warren Tool until its closure in the early 1980s. Since then, he has worked at the Youngstown Air Reserve Base where he made many friends and looked forward to their social gatherings. Over the years, Jim enjoyed visits with family, hosting annual 4th July gatherings, fishing, and going for long, scenic drives.
Jim is survived and sorely missed by his wife, Suzue; his son, James (Domini) Wolfe of Mineral Ridge; his daughter, Tina (Steve) Miletta of North Lima; his grandsons, Finn and Nico Wolfe; his sister, Patricia Ard of Ravenna; his sister-in-law, Karin Wolfe of Newton Falls; his sister-in-law, Jackie Wolfe of Oak Harbor, WA; and many nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Claire; his parents, Francis and Emma; his nephews, Steve and John; his niece, Patty; and his siblings, Donald, John, Gloria, Darlene, and Frank.
Due to the current pandemic, there will not be a viewing or public service. In lieu of flowers, family and friends are welcome to make donations in Jim’s name to the charity of their choice.
Arrangements have been handled by the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls.
