James O. Rigsby, 79, of Newton Falls, OH, passed away on Friday, January 7 at the St. Joseph Health Center. On July 4, 1942 in Meadowbrook, WV, he was born the son of James and Leoda (Rigsby) Lindsey.
After completing his formal education he was employed as a truck driver, last being employed by Warren Fabricating.
On July 6, 1972 in Winchester, VA he was united in marriage with Diane Johnson.
In his spare time he enjoyed going to car shows and attending the Sharon Speedway. Some of his favorite drivers were Lou Blaney, and Danica Patrick. He enjoyed camping and gardening and had “tinkeritis”.
Cherished memories of Jim will be carried on by his wife Diane, sons James (Rhonda) Rigsby of Mannington, WV, and Stephen Rigsby of WV, daughters Kathy (Clifton) Ashley of Monongah, WV, Diane Brown of Niles, OH, Mary Brown of Warren, OH, and Tracy Brown of Warren, brothers John (Nancy) Lindsey of Bridgeport, WV, and Gary (Sharon) Lindsey of West Union, WV, sister Sue Ann (Clovis) Bates of Newton Falls, and Lisa (Chris) Willis of Grafton, WV., grandchildren Bobby, Ashley, David, Shandella, Joseph, Cheyanne, Raeannen, Brittany, Danielle, Matthew, Lindsay, Taylor, Sierra, Morgan, and 7 great grandchildren.
Preceding Jim in death were his parents and a brother Jeffrey.
Family and friends may call on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 5 – 6 PM at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls where services will be held at 6 PM. Burial will be Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery in Taylor County, WV.
