James Edward Morgan, Sr., 66, of Lake Milton, passed on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at his residence. He was born on October 26, 1954 in Ravenna, Ohio, the son of John P. and Evelyn R. Fluharty Morgan. James attended Southeast High School.
Following his high school education, he began his life-long career in trucking. He would retire from North Coast Trucking. James also served on the zoning committee for Lake Milton.
James would meet his future wife through his neighbor who happened to be a sister to Peggy Casper. The couple would be united in marriage on August 6, 2005. He was a wonderful and good man who loved his family.
Among his favorite pastimes were fishing, boating at Lake Milton, camping in West Virginia, riding his motorcycle, grilling, golf-carting around the neighborhood and enjoying the company of his many friends.
Memories of James will be carried on by his loving wife, Peggy; his children, Jimmy Jr. (Heather) of Newton Falls, Ohio, Kelly (John) Ward of Streetsboro, Ohio who was the apple of daddy’s eye and Josh (Dana) Morgan of Rivesville, West Virginia; his grandchildren, James III, Megan, Chandler, Kaylee, Destiny, Tyler, Lillian, Madison, Abbi and Anna; his great grandchild, Reilynn; his sisters, Doris Pitts (Ed Marsh) Brenda Loomis, Teresa Yeater, Paula Jones, Tina Quade and his brothers, William “Bill” Morgan, Roger Morgan and Jeff Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Pamela Spurk and his son, Brandon Casper.
Friends and family may visit on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls, Ohio where a service will follow at 6:00 p.m.
