Jacob “Jake” Adam Gray, 35, originally of Maumee, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 in Salem, Ohio. He was born on May 7, 1988 at Toledo Hospital. He will be sadly missed by his father, Barry Gray; his mother, Belinda (Fiser) Kretzer (Matt); his twin brother, Benjamin Gray (Samina); his grandparents, Glenna Shirley Gray (Jesse - deceased), Thomas and Laura Fiser; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jacob attended Fort Miami Elementary, Gateway Middle School and Maumee High School, graduating in 2006. In grade school, Jacob played Little League baseball, was involved in Boy Scouts, and played guitar with his friends in their band. After graduating, he continued his education at Kent State University to pursue a degree in journalism.
Jake will be remembered most for his great sense of humor, sincerity, and his one-of-kind personality. Always willing to do anything for anyone, Jake was incredibly kind and loved by everyone. Some of his favorite hobbies included visiting water parks, watching movies, and listening to Guns N’ Roses. Finally, he was a loyal fan of the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Royals.
In remembrance of Jacob’s life and love, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to organizations dedicated to mental health, such as National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) or Mental Health America (MHA).
