Emerson M. Leeworthy

Emerson M. Leeworthy, 83, of Newton Falls, OH passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 at St. Joseph Health Care Center. He was born on September 8, 1938 in Southington the son of Emerson and Vera (Coons) Leeworthy. 

He was employed as a foreman at Heltzel Steel.

In his spare time he loved tending his lawn and garden, hunting, fishing and woodworking. 

On September 21, 1957 in Angola, IN Emerson was united in marriage with Judith Smith.

Cherished memories of Emerson will be carried on by his wife Judith, sons Jeff (Lisa) Leeworthy, Brian (Tammy Moss) Leeworthy both of Newton Falls, daughters Wendy Heltzel of Newton Falls, Mary (Dale) Roberts of Southington,  Sandra (Jake) Moon of Leavitsburg, OH, Brenda (Gary) Hunt of Newton Falls, brothers Ernest (Judy) Leeworthy, Arthur (Mary) Leeworthy, and Kevin (Mary) Leeworthy, 20 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Preceding Emerson in death were brothers Richard, Fred and Joseph Leeworthy, sisters Vernina, Audrey, Wanda, and Elizabeth, great grandson Miles Leeworthy, great granddaughter Madelyn Leeworthy, and son in law Harold Heltzel.

Family and friends may call on Sunday, December 19 from 3 – 5 PM where services will follow the calling hours at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls.
