Elaine L. Barker, 63, of Windham passed away October 15, 2022, surrounded by a loving family. 

Born in Ravenna, Ohio on November 23, 1958, to the late Clifford and Rozella Barker.  Elaine was the sixth of six children.  Aside from her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her two brothers Boyd (Frank) Franklin Barker and Johnny Carlton Barker. Elaine is survived by brother Jerry (Lucky) L. Barker of Rutland Vermont; Wilma (Dot) Dot Hampton of Diamond, Ohio and Loretta L. Forsythe of Alliance, Ohio. Elaine leaves behind two God children Kyle Simpson & Savannah Simpson; six nieces, eight nephews, 26 great nieces / nephews & 17 great-great nieces / nephews.  She was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt. Elaine loved animals, given the chance she probably would have had her own animal shelter.

Elaine’s favorite things to do included watching TV with her sister Loretta, shopping for sisters Dot & Loretta and spending time with her brother Jerry when he came to visit. She adored spending time with her nieces, nephews, and God children.  She was not able to have children of her own, but she had so much love to give which she gave freely and abundantly.

Please join the family to honor Elaine’s life at The Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home, 30 Ridge Road, Newton Falls. The calling hours will be Sunday October 23, 2022, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.  The funeral service will be held Monday October 24, 2022, at 12:00 PM.  Elaine will be laid to rest at Windham Cemetery in Windham, Ohio.  A ‘Celebration of Life’ lunch will immediately follow the graveside service at Windham Community Center located at 9621 East Center Street, Windham, Ohio.  All donations will be used for her headstone.
