Donald F. Keefer (Papa), 70, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. He was born on December 12, 1950 in Ripley, West Virginia to Elvin and Frieda Keefer.
He was a graduate of Ripley High School.
On September 15, 1970, Donald married his love Theresa Keefer. They enjoyed 50 years of marriage and he was devoted to her until her death in 2020.
He was employed by Anchor Motor Freight as a diesel mechanic for 30 years and retired at 49.
He spent the next 21 years doing all the things he enjoyed. He traveled extensively visiting all 50 states with Theresa. Some of his favorite things included gardening, watching FOX News, hunting and just being in West Virginia, working on everyone’s vehicles in his garage, camping, smoking cigars, and having a beer with friends. He loved telling stories and sharing his words of wisdom with anyone he knew.
His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his greatest joys. They could do no wrong in his eyes and he was their champion in all things.
Cherished memories of Donald will be carried on by his adored family: children Brian Keefer and Shelly (Daryl) Ginter, granddaughters Alexis (Greg) Pecorelli, Callie Ginter, and Delaney Ginter, his bonus granddaughters Keaghan O’Connor and Michelle DeMarco, great grandchildren Sophia and Niko Pecorelli, Jaxin Stout, and Kai and Kalani Ginter, his siblings Ronald (Nina) Keefer, Denis (Mary) Keefer, Loren (Shirley) Keefer, Raymond (Stacey) Keefer, Faye Palmer, Eileen (Chuck) Benson.
He was preceded in death by his wife Theresa, his parents, his granddaughter Breanna Ginter, and his siblings George Keefer, Jim Keefer, and Margaret King.
Per his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
