Denzil Kenneth Dye Obituary
On May 9, 2024 Denzil Kenneth Dye of Garrettsville, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and loved ones.
He was born May 22, 1965 in Ravenna, Ohio to Denzil and Ella (nee Myers) Dye.
Kenny attended Windham High School and worked for many years in the automotive industry as a skilled and trusted mechanic.
He is survived by his mother, Ella Gooseman of Garrettsville; devoted sister, Tina (William) Blas of Warren, sister, Dana (Paul) Mosier of Windham, sister, Monica Welton of Nelson; brothers, Timothy (Tammy) McCabe of Garrettsville, and Gary (Sylvia) of Warren; his children, Ryan (Taylor) Bennett of Newton Falls, Ohio, Tory Dye of Parkersburg, West Virginia, Zach (Elizabeth) Dye of Mineral Wells, West Virginia, Megan Howell of Twinsburg, and Louie Howell of Windham; his grandchildren, Sophia, Rae, Callah, Calem, Brantley, Ady and Emmalyn; nieces and nephews, Dylan (Alicia) Mosier, Chad Mosier, Dustin (Carlie) Dye, Devon Dye, Brooklyn and Leland Blas; many great nieces and nephews and so many friends and close loved ones who have fond (and funny) memories of Kenny that will last a lifetime.
He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Denzil Dye and Caroline, cherished sister, Nancy Dye Hannah; and brother, Mike McCabe.
Kenny will be remembered for his love of cars (specifically all things Chevy), pride in his children and grandchildren, being a Steelers fan, watching his cooking shows, country music (only the good and the classics), being stubborn, quick with a one-liner or to bust your chops, speedknots, a good worn-in ball cap and a lifetime of wheeling and dealing vehicles….. to either work on them with a natural talent for body-work or just to trade for the next best thing.
Kenny did things the way he wanted and many of his friends will remember him for all his sayings that were Kenny originals. All is forgiven in the end and he knew that.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park.
