David Joseph Yaratch of Aurora, Ohio, formerly of Garrettsville, passed away on June 20, 2026 at The Inn at Apple Ridge in Richfield, Ohio. He was born in Warren, Ohio on April 10, 1946 to Adam and Margaret Kish Yaratch.

David was a 1965 graduate of Newton Falls High School. He went on to work on the assembly line at General Motors Lordstown plant for 30 years retiring in 1998.

Being of Pentecostal faith, David loved Jesus with all his heart and he lived that out in everything he did.

On December 9, 1989 he married Shirley J. Dean.

David loved to spend time with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing especially on Lake Erie. He could always be found helping anyone who was in need, from working on their cars to helping fix things in their house.

Left to cherish memories of David are his children, David (Tarina) Yaratch of Delaware, Denise (Dan) Blechschmid of Aurora, Michael (Kendra) Yaratch of Howland, Robert (Brenda) Grabill of Garrettsville, and Angelia (Don) Webb of Leavittsburg; grandchildren, Aaron, Abby, Brandon, Caeley, Chrysta, DJ, Hannah, Harmony, Heaven, Hope, Hunter, John, Michaela, Rachael, Tyler (Taylor) and Victoria; great grandchildren, Addy, Alysia, Irene, Judah, Karen, Layla and Suzy; sisters, Betty Wanchick, Margie Fowler, Eva (Jim) McCarty, Rose Dye, and Dolores (AJ) Yakubek.

Preceding him in death are his wife, Shirley, Yaratch; parents, Adam and Margaret; and siblings, Arthur Yaratch, Francis Basile, Mary Reed, Edward Yaratch, Frank Yaratch, George Yaratch and Junior Yaratch.

Donations may be made in David’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Buckeye Hospice and Palliative Care, 3379 Main Street, Mineral Ridge, Ohio 44440.

Visitation for family and close friends will be from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026 at Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls, Ohio. Interment will be immediately following at Harrington Cemetery in Nelson Township, Ohio. A luncheon will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of Pentecost, 4363 State Route 82, Newton Falls, Ohio 44444.
