Obituary

Charles “Brock” Braucher, 86, died peacefully in the Cortland Healthcare Center on December 3, 2020.  Charles was born on June 4, 1934 in Friedens, Pennsylvania in Somerset County and moved to the Warren, Ohio area in the mid-sixties and where he resided the remainder of his life.

Charles was a proud veteran serving four years in the United States Navy from 1953 to 1957.

Charles was a retired employee of G. M. Lordstown, where he had worked from 1966 to 1996.

He was an avid baseball fan, enjoying watching, attending and even playing the sport as a young adult. He had been a member of various clubs and organizations including the V.F.W and Eagles in both Pennsylvania and Ohio. In his later years, Charles enjoyed karaoke, singing country and western favorites, with Willie Nelson and Conway Twitty being among his favorite artists.

Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline (Sistek) Braucher, his parents, Edward Preston Braucher and Edna Cordella (Tressler) Braucher and his sister, Sara Jane Enos.

Charles is survived by his two daughters, Kathy L. Lasko of Johnstown, Pennsylvania and Paula L. Johnson (Thomas) of Latrobe, Pennsylvania; his four grandchildren, John F. Decker, III (Stephanie) of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Ronald Lasko (Courtney) of Richland, Pennsylvania, Michelle Sendek (Tim) of Windber, Pennsylvania and Rachel Pavucsko (Ed) of Evans City, Pennsylvania and his six great-grandchildren; Anna and Ian Decker, Malia and Gavin Lasko and Olivia and Carter Sendek. Also surviving are his three nieces, Debbie, Jane and Linda, one nephew, Donald, several great nieces and nephews and his very close and dear friends, Joe and Loretta Kovach.
