Charles E. Fowler, 81, of Niles and formerly of Windham and Garrettsville area, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 with his loving family by his side.
He was born on December 30, 1938 in Newton Falls, the son of Albert and Lena (Wilson) Fowler. Charles graduated from Windham High School in 1958.
Charles was a foreman at Boardman Molded Plastic.
On February 16, 1963 at St. Mary’s Church in Newton Falls, Charles and Margaret Yaratch were united in marriage.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
Charles was a member of the Faith Evangelical Free Church where he was an usher.
Cherished memories of Charles will be carried on by his wife Margaret, daughters Theresa (John) Dodson of Girard, Lori Fowler of Garrettsville, and Lisa (Jeff) Yaratch of Springtown, TX, brothers Edwin Fowler, Richard Fowler, and Gary Fowler all of Windham, and Kevin (Bridget) Fowler of Ravenna, sisters Sis (Bill) Layman of Tallmadge, Renda (Roger) Pettit of Garrettsville, and Renee (David) Seljan of Windham, 6 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Fowler.
Friends and family may call on Monday, February 24 from 4 – 7 PM at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls. There will also be calling hours on Tuesday, February 25 from 10 – 11 AM at the Faith Evangelical Free Church where services will follow at 11 AM with Pastor Mike Gantz officiating. Burial will follow the services at Niles Union Cemetery.
