Cecelia Wolf, 91, of Newton Falls, Ohio passed on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Park Vista Retirement Community. She was born on November 29, 1929 in Newton Falls, the daughter of John and Anna Danko Liptak.
Cecelia was a 1947 graduate of Newton Falls High School.
She was a parishioner of St. Mary and St. Joseph Parish in Newton Falls, Ohio.
She retired from Trumbull Lamp GE, where she had been employed as an assembler.
On September 12, 1964 in North Jackson, Richard Wolf and Cecelia were united in marriage.
She travelled often to visit family and friends and loved bus trips to various casinos. She was a crafter, especially known for her many beaded ornaments that she shared with family and friends. Cecelia was known as the “scrubbie lady” making many of these items and donating them to the Newton Falls Friends of the Library to sell at their book sales.
She was a long time member of the Newton Falls American Legion Post 236 Auxiliary.
Cherished memories of Cecelia will be carried on by her brother, Andy (Penney) Liptak of Chicago and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Cecelia in death were her husband, Richard who passed away August 22, 2016, and her brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.at the St. Mary and St. Joseph Parish in Newton Falls, Ohio. Following the visitation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Merzweiler as celebrant.
Burial will be at the Newton Township Cemetery.
