William John Lesho, 81, of Gustavus Township passed on Saturday, December 7, 2019 with the love of his family. He was born on April 26, 1938 in Newton Falls, Ohio, the son of Frank and Mary Blasko Lesho. William was a 1957 graduate of Newton Falls High School.
Following graduation from high school, William enlisted into the United States Marine Corps. He served in the Marine Detachment assigned to the USS Randolph.
Bill was employed as a detective at the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office for over 30 years. He also was owner and operator of the Double L Rodeo for 30 plus years.
Memories of his life will be carried on by his children, William J. (Debbie) Lesho, Jr., Patricia (Jim) Leatherberry, Martin (Angela) Lesho and Deborah (Ron) Hunt; his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; mother of his children, Patricia and his sister, Betty Lesho.
Preceding Bill were his parents, Frank and Mary; his son, Michael R. Lesho and his brothers, Fred Lesho and Francis J. Lesho.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 12, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls, Ohio.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on December 12, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary and St. Joseph Parish in Newton Falls, with Rev. David Merzweiler as celebrant.
As a cowboy forever in his heart, a team of four horses pulling a buckboard will take Bill to his resting place in St. Joseph Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corps and the Newton Falls Veterans Honor Guards.
