Terry E. “Tex” Vestal passed peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, July 27, 2019 from cardiac arrest. Terry was born on September 2, 1962 in Warren, Ohio. He was adopted by Edward and Ruth Vestal, Jr. at an early age and he grew up and attended school in Hubbard, Ohio. He graduated from Hubbard High School in 1980.
He moved to Newton Falls in 1991 and worked at Transco for 19 years in the maintenance department.
He currently worked as a laborer for Tonn Contracting. For the past 21 years, Tex was a stock clerk and custodian at Faces Lounge in Newton Falls. It was there that his many close friendships were formed that ultimately would become his beloved family. Always quick witted and laughing, Terry would always share a story with anyone that would listen. He would help anyone at any time with anything they needed. He had a heart of gold.
Terry found great joy in rescuing and repurposing any item that he thought had value. His home was filled with such treasures except for the ones he gave away. He also was accomplished at sewing and would proudly wear clothing that he had altered or made. Every holiday, he would be seen in his new digs. Never using a thimble, his hands were calloused from the needles.
Special thanks to Dan Cadle and the Cadle Co. for their kindness to Terry over the years, and to all his friends for looking out for Tex daily. Terry will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Terry’s life will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Faces Lounge, his second home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Terry to the Church Mouse, 26 ½ W. Broad Street, Newton Falls, Ohio 44444.
