Ruby J. Bajnok, 83, of Newton Falls passed away at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Trumbull Regional Medical Center in the presence of family.
Ruby was born on December 27, 1935, in Alderson, West Virginia, the daughter of Teet A. Bryant and Nora E. Nally Bryant.
Ruby has been a resident of Newton Falls from the age of 15 since 1951. She was a school bus driver for the Newton Falls Exempted Village Schools for 27 years. She was also very active in St. Joseph Church, especially the Ladies Guild of the church.
She was the matriarch of the Bryant family and organizer of the annual Bryant Family Reunion. Ruby was the driving force to bring the Bryant family from poverty in West Virginia to prosperity in Ohio. She was always helping everyone. Even at the end of life, she gave to Life Banc. Ruby cherished her family and was cherished by her family in return.
Ruby is survived by her three sons, Dennis (Valerie) Hanson of Streetsboro, Michael (Marianne Gezzar) Hanson of Sullivan and Douglas Hanson of Newton Falls; her daughter, Jolyn Bajnok of Newton Falls and a grandson, raised as a son, Tim (Tiffany) Shahan of Newton Falls; her grandchildren, Beth Dirusso, Christopher Hanson, Laurie Hanson, Jose Hanson, Maria (Chris) Hanson, Alisha Staton, John Staton; her 13 great grandchildren; her sister, Romie (Bill) Kellerman of Warren, her brother, Roy (Rachel) Bryant of Champion, her sister, Rolena (Wayne) McClain of Howland; her brother-in-law, Mike (Marge) Bajnok of Newton Falls; her close friend, Loretta Toth of Newton Falls as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Eugene Hanson; her second husband, Joe Bajnok; her special friend, Ed Chopko; her brothers, Robert Bryant and Raymond Bryant; her sister Rita Bryant and her daughter-in-law, Angela Hanson.
The family extend special thanks to Drs. Snitzer, Naddour and Becker and to the staff of TRMC and Hospice for their compassionate care.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at St. Mary and St. Joseph Parish in Newton Falls with Rev. David Merzweiler as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
