Phyllis J. (Dyson) Simpson

Phyllis J. Simpson -age 82- of Windham, Ohio, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, September 29, 2019 after a prolonged illness. She was born on January 11, 1937 in Troy Township, Ohio, the daughter of Clarence Arthur and Charlotte Alma Bailey Dyson.

Phyllis was known for her unquestionable and never ending dedication and generosity to her family and friends.  She lived the life of a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.  She took every opportunity to help others in need.  Phyllis was beloved for her absolute acceptance and support of everyone she met and putting their needs above her own.  She lifted everyone up and showered them with pure love.  Her beautiful soul never met a stranger she didn't like.  She valued reading her Bible and cherished making memories with loved ones over card games.

She is survived by her children, Charles Simpson Jr., Miranda Simpson, Melynda (Stan) Zdanczewski, Clarence (Barb) Simpson, Lucinda (Curt) Mosier, Rebecca (Scott) Dillion, David (Sharon) Simpson and Elaine Barker and her one brother, Roger (Linda) Dyson.  She was blessed with 23 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren children and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Simpson Sr., her parents, Arthur and Alma Dyson and her sister, Marie McDivitt.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls, Ohio.  Cremation will follow. 

In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made to the Windham Fire Department, 9601 E. Center Street, Windham, Ohio in memory of Phyllis J. Simpson.
