Nancy Hanzes Obituary

Nancy A. Hanzes, 71, of Newton Falls, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019 at St. Joseph Health Center with her family by her side.  She was born the daughter of Thomas and Una (Wyatt) McKnight on January 16, 1948 in Brownsville, PA. 

After graduating high school she attended Kent State University achieving an Associate Bachelor of Arts Degree.

She married love of her life, Raymond Hanzes on July 28, 1989.

Nancy was a member of the Newton Falls Congregational Church. 

She was a member of the Newton Falls VFW 3332 Auxiliary.   

Nancy enjoyed playing games of skill and BINGO, and collecting frogs.

Cherished memories of Nancy will be carried on by her husband Raymond, son Grant Michael Pfendler of Conneaut, PA, step daughters Patti Hanzes and Cindy (Joe) Chick both of Newton Falls, brother Joel McKnight of Monongahela, PA, grandchildren Jared Clonch, Missy Chick and Erica Pramik and great grandchildren Caden, Chace, Conner Clonch, Vinny and Rowan Pramik, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Nancy in death were her parents, sisters Sherry Barr, Joyce Joseph and Mary Lee Campbell, and brother Tom McKnight

Per her wishes cremation has taken place.  Private services are to be held at a later date.  Burial will be at Little Red Stone Cemetery in Fayette City PA.

Material contributions in Nancy's name can be made to Hospice of Mahoning Valley or Washington Square Nursing Home.
