Luella “Lou” M. Ellis, 73, of Lake Milton, entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 15, 2017 at her residence with her loving family by her side. On May 31, 1944, in Petersburg, PA Lou was born the daughter of James H. and Stella G. (Wiles) Evans.
Lou was a 1963 graduate of Jackson-Milton High School. She was united in marriage with her best friend Larry D. Ellis on October 15, 1966.
Lou was a Charter Member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish - St. Catherine’s Church. She was an Avon Lady for 22 years, a home health aide for 22 years and Campfire leader for 7 years. Lou was also a social member of VFW Post 3332 of Newton Falls for many years.
Cherished memories of Lou will be carried on by her daughter Wanda S. (Adam) Sabol, and son Larry D. (Rackell) Ellis II, two grandsons Zachary R. Sabol and Austin Ellis, a Godson Robert Pence of Austintown, and special friend Roy Wright.
Preceding Lou in death was her beloved husband Larry who passed away on April 8, 1995, her brothers Earl and Harry Evans, and her sister Nancy Jane Sullivan.
Friends and family may call at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls on Monday, September 18 from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM. On Tuesday, September 19 at 10 AM there will be calling hours at the funeral home to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish - St. Catherine’s Church at 11 AM, with Father David Merzweiler officiating. Lou will be laid to rest next to her late husband Larry in Palmyra Cemetery.
