Katherine B. (Coole) Keith

Katherine B. Keith, 84, died Friday, March 22, 2019, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born October 27, 1934, in Tridelphia, WV, a daughter of Daniel and Ethel Coole.

Her greatest joys came from caring for her family and friends. She loved to knit, crochet, and sew and made many beautiful gifts for her family and friends. She loved to cook and bake and was famous for her delicious pies and cookies which her family enjoyed for Sunday dinners and every holiday. She loved the outdoors and spent many summers working in the garden and canning the harvest in the fall. She also grew beautiful roses. She continuously volunteered at St. Mary and Joseph Catholic School and was affectionately called Grandma by everyone.

Fond memories of Katherine will be cherished by her husband, John A. Keith, whom she married on December 3, 1954, in Oakland, MD. They would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year. John and Katherine raised three daughters, Debbie (Gary) DeMattia of Orwell; Diane (Joe) Wentworth and Brenda (Pete) Augusta both of Newton Falls; She leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; her brother Daniel (Ruth) Coole and two sisters, Mary (Bill) Principe and Beverly (Jim) Plunkett; her brother-in-law, Thomas Trekal and sisters-in-law Patricia Coole and Joyce Coole; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Carl and Raymond Coole and a sister, Dorothy Trekal.

In lieu of calling hours, a private family celebration of Katherine’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Browoski Memorial Home.
