June Twinem was born in Newton Falls on April 12, 1925 and passed away on March 31, 2019, two weeks short of her 94th birthday. She was one of six children born to John and Lucille Stouder.
She met her future husband Paul before World War II and corresponded with him during the war while he was in the Philippines. They married soon after his return and were blessed with three daughters, Linda Bobbey (Jim), Sandee Watson (Ron), and Debra Davis (Mark).
They were married 62 years before Paul passed away in 2007.
They were also blessed with a number of grandchildren, Steve Holesko, Mathew Bobbey (Carla), Mark Holesko, Erik Holesko (Tarah), Adam Bobbey (Jessica), Brent Davis (Samantha), and Lindsay Vigorito (Gabe). All the grandchildren enjoyed the time they were able to spend with Nanny and Papa.
The great grandchildren are Ashley Holesko, Stephen Holesko, Rachel Holesko, Brooke Bobbey, Wyatt Bobbey, Kate Holesko, Michael Holesko, Louis Bobbey, Lillian Bobbey, Nora June Davis, and Owen Davis. The great great grandchildren are Andrew Taylor and Adalyn Taylor.
June's surviving twin sister was her best friend and they shared an unbreakable bond.
She had a green thumb and her flower gardens were well known. She was an excellent cook and her macaroni salad the best as was her spaghetti sauce.
June lived a long and fulfilled life and was able to stay in her home until the last six months.
Private family services will be held. June will be laid to rest next to her husband Paul at the Newton Township Cemetery.
The family asks that family and friends consider making donations in June’s name to Harbor Lights Hospice, 4531 Belmont Drive, Unit 9, Youngstown, Ohio, 44505.
