Gordon D. Seem, 87, of Newton Falls, entered into the arms of the Lord on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Trumbull Regional Medical Center. He was born on September 7, 1931 in Youngstown, the son of Lloyd and Lena (Williams) Seem.
On March 4, 1961 Gordon was united in marriage with Virginia Carlson who passed away on October 31, 2006.
Gordon’s work history included working at Hanson’s Drug, 22 years at General Fire Proofing, and maintenance work at Lake Milton Baptist Temple.
He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and NASCAR, but above all else he enjoyed spending time with family.
Cherished memories of Gordon will be carried on by his daughter Darlene (Scott) Shilling of Cuyahoga Falls, brothers Kenneth and Merle (Wendy) Seem both of Diamond, and grandchildren Lauren and Brittany Mohler.
Preceding Gordon in death were his wife Virginia, son Duane Seem who passed away on May 15, 2019, brother Lloyd Seem Jr., and sisters Eleanor Rummel and Thelma Marshall.
Family and friends may call on Monday, June 10 from 6 - 8 PM at Lake Milton Baptist Temple and also Tuesday, June 11 from 10 – 11 AM, where services will be held at 11 AM with Pastor Joseph Griffis officiating.
Gordon will be laid to rest next to his wife in North Jackson Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls.
