Florence M. (Pleuss) Weddell

Florence M. Weddell, 97, of Southington, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Windsor House.  She was born the daughter of Frank and Pansie (Rood) Pleuss in Southington on July 10, 1922.

Florence was a 1940 graduate of Southington High School.

She was of Lutheran faith.

Besides being a homemaker she was employed at a potato factory and at Ohio Lamp.

In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and needle work, reading, and puzzle books.

On February 27, 1944 Florence was united in marriage with Lester F. Weddell.  He preceded her in death on November 17, 1997.

Cherished memories of Florence will be carried on by her son Jack Weddell, daughter Betty Foden, both of Oregon, and daughter Barbara Waganek of Cortland, and 4 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Preceding Florence in death were her husband, son Floyd Weddell, brothers Leon Pleuss and Donald Pleuss.

Family and friends may call from 10 – 11 AM on Friday, January 3 at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home where services will be held at 11 AM with Rev. Eugene Koene officiating.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband Lester in Crown Hill Cemetery.
