Eleanor I. Weekley, 89, of Newton Falls, passed away on Monday, October, 28, 2019 at the Country Club Rehabilitation Campus. She was born on March 30, 1930 in Warren, the daughter of Francis and Edna (Salen) Day.
On July 31, 1950 in New Castle, PA, she was united in marriage with Lynn Weekley for 66 years before his passing on July 17, 2016.
Eleanor enjoyed tending to her yard work and she was an avid bowler. For many years Eleanor volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program.
Cherished memories of Eleanor will be carried on by her son David (Sandra) Weekley of Berlin Center, daughter Melissa (Jim) Grondeski, grandchildren Holly (Bill) Luna, Michael Grondeski, Tim (Gretchen) Weekly, Bob Weekly, and Megan (Mike) Sine, great grandchildren Madison, Preston, Ethan, and Lucas, and sisters Betty Ann Borruso of Pennsylvania, and Florence (Don) Berry of Dayton.
Preceding Eleanor in death were her husband Lynn, brothers Joe, Mickey and Bill Day, and sisters Marge Higgs, and Mary Waleryszek.
Family and friends may call on Friday, November 1, from 5 – 7 PM at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls. A celebration of her life will be at 7 PM.
