Dora Virginia (Lemasters) Pierson

Dora Virginia Pierson, 86, of Newton Falls, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the TMH Regional Medical Center.  She was born on February 23, 1933 in Cameron, West Virginia, the daughter of Wiley E. and Alvena M. (Sidell) Lemasters.

Dora married the late Kenneth L. Pierson, Sr. on May 31, 1952.

She was a homemaker that lived in Newton Falls for more than 56 years, and attended the Church of God in Leavittsburg where she was involved in many church activities.

Dora’s interests were reading, traveling, sewing, camping and riding motorcycles.

Cherished memories of Dora will be carried on by her sons Kenneth L. (Josie) Pierson, Jr. of Mount Holly Springs, PA, and Joseph N. (Tamara) Pierson Sr. of Newton Falls,grandchildren Harland Corbin, Karrey Henry, Joseph Pierson, Jr., Michael Pierson, and Jennifer Murray, great grandchildren Paige, Owen and Kaeden Corbin, Casey, Tony and Sabrina Currence, Jasmyne and Quinter Henry, William and Cecilia Murray, and Michael Russell, great great granddaughter Annabelle Sterling, and sister Rose Ann Riggs of Wheeling, WV.

Preceding Dora in death were her husband who passed away on March 3, 2011, granddaughter Christina Pierson Russell, and brothers Burley, Doil, William, Wilbert, Sherman, Earl, Howard, James, Eugene, Robert, and Lee Lemasters.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, October 1, from 9 – 11 AM at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls where services will be held at 11 AM.  Comital services will be held Wednesday, October 2 at 1 PM at the Centennial Cemetery in Aleppo, PA.
