Dolores “Dee” A. Gourley, 72, of Warren, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Health Center ER. She was born on August 19, 1946 in Warren, the daughter of Andrew and Rose (Dugic) Porta, Sr.
Dee was a 1964 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School.
Besides being a homemaker Dee was employed before retiring as a cashier at St. Joseph Health Center and as a bank teller.
She attended Grace Methodist Church.
In her spare time she enjoyed dancing and going out to dinner but above all else she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren.
Cherished memories of Dee will be carried on by her step mother June Porta and her best friend Carol DelGiudice both of Niles, her ex-husband James Gourley of Cortland, daughters Kimberly (Rob Holland) Gourley of Warren, and Brenda Gourley of Niles, half-brother Andrew Porta, Jr. of Warren, step-brother Sam Lee of Southington, grandchildren Shaina Albright, Jana Gourley, and Jamison Goss, and great granddaughter Nina Johnson.
Preceding Dee in death were her parents, and step-sister Luann Holland.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, May 1 from 5 – 6:30 PM at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home where services will be held at 6:30 PM with Pastor Glen Rader officiating.
Dee will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Newton Falls.
